Doggone Good Treats For Your Canine

Dog-Treats-1Lately, it seems the news of dog treat recalls has filled the internet and owners are becoming more and more concerned. How can you ensure the treats your canine pal is eating are healthy? The same way we humans ensure our healthy eating habits…by making it ourselves at home! Dog treats vary, of course, but these are easy to make and perfectly healthy for your pup!

Place dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness. Using the cookie cutter of your choice (I used the dog bone set my parents gave me last Christmas.), begin cutting out cookies and laying them on a greased cookie sheet. Bake about 20 minutes. Remove cookies from oven and allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes on a cooling rack. Serve or store immediately!

I hope your canine enjoys this recipe as much as mine did! I already need to make another batch!
