Hi, my name is Hallie and I was born and raised in the Midsouth. I grew up watching the iconic Mississippi Delta Queen, listening to legendary Memphis Blues, and eating “Soul Food,” a collection of regional recipes passed down from generation to generation. These things still excite me.
I am a proud alumni of Mississippi University for Women where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Culinary Arts and Food Journalism. During and after college, I had the privilege to work at the beloved Biltmore Estate in North Carolina and even did demos for companies such as Whole Foods and Taste of Home Cooking School. I married my college sweetheart and became a proud Air Force wife. Today, I am not only a wife, but also a mother. As we move from station to station, I learn more and more about other styles of cooking, gardening in all kinds of weather, trending fashions and more!
“No matter where I am, no matter where I go, your heart is my northern light, I will always find my way home.” M.K.
